Scroll to sub-menu

The Ninestiles Teaching School Alliance (NTSA) was designated in the second cohort of Teaching Schools. It is built upon Ninestiles School, An Academy’s long and proud history of school to school support and Initial Teacher Training provision.

The NTSA is made up of a range of primary, secondary, 6th form college and special provision across central Birmingham. Together we share a clear vision and sense of direction presenting a clear aim of working together, collaboratively and creatively, with the desire to improve teaching and learning for all our pupils. Bringing together a range of skills, expertise, talent and capacity, this in turn will have a significant impact on high quality teacher training, providing the consistency for high levels of pupil performance. Shaping the future together for a ‘self improving’ school-to-school improvement system.

Teacher Training

The Ninestiles Initial Teacher Training Consortium in Birmingham has been successfully training and qualifying new teachers since 2003 and has recently been recognised as the UK’s 3rd best Initial Teacher Training Provider for Secondary Education.

Specialist Leaders in Education

SLEs are outstanding middle and senior leaders in positions below the headteacher, with at least two years’ leadership experience. They have a particular area of expertise and a successful track record of school improvement.

Partner Schools

The Ninestiles Teaching school Alliance works with a number of key partner schools throughout the West Midlands, many of which have been OFSTED graded ‘Outstanding’.
