What is Ninestiles Teaching School Alliance?
The Ninestiles Initial Teacher Training Consortium in Birmingham has been successfully training and qualifying new teachers since 2003 and has recently been recognised as the UK’s 3rd best Initial Teacher Training Provider for Secondary Education.
SLEs are outstanding middle and senior leaders in positions below the headteacher, with at least two years’ leadership experience. They have a particular area of expertise and a successful track record of school improvement.
The Ninestiles Teaching school Alliance works with a number of key partner schools throughout the West Midlands, many of which have been OFSTED graded ‘Outstanding’.
The NTSA covers and promotes strategies underpinning the ‘Big Six’ areas of a Teaching Schools remit:
We are keen to work with more schools to share good practice, designate Specialist Leaders of Education and offer high-quality training opportunities to teachers and support staff. We aim to offer strategic leadership and coordinating, monitoring and quality assurance activities and expertise across the Alliance and beyond.
For details on joining the Alliance and/or further information on any of the work within the ‘BIG 6’ and beyond please do not hesitate to contact
