Middle Leader Development (NTSA)

Middle Leaders are one of the key driving forces of raising achievement, standards of teaching and learning to ensure the best possible outcomes for learners regardless of class and disadvantage. This programme is designed to develop and strengthen the capacity for those who have begun, or are undertaking a middle leadership role. Endorsed and accredited by Birmingham City University.

Over the course of the programme there are interactive facilitated sessions led by key focus questions to be considered and discussed by participants. It is an expectation that these sessions are then put into practice and reflected upon further in their school setting. It is important that these reflections are shared with the rest of the cohort on the programme but also with an assigned colleague based in their employing school.

“I’ve loved the MLD course as it has given me the time and space to work with fellow professionals and be able to reflect on my leadership abilities.  The monthly sessions are challenging and have enabled me to develop my skills and knowledge of the leadership qualities needed for 21st century schools.  Sessions are engaging, interactive and relevant.  Furthermore, the course has allowed me gain masters credits alongside the course to develop academically too.” (MLDP Participant, 2016)

Senior Leader Development (NTSA)

NTSA have partnered with two external leadership coaching professionals to lead on our bespoke programme. Senior Leaders are the critical bridge between strategy and the day-to-day life of the school. If senior leaders are positive and proactive, the school functions far more effectively and harmoniously. This programme will develop both mastery of both leadership and management, to support participants in becoming efficient and dynamic leaders.
